Rowlett Pediatric Dermatologist

General & Pediatric Dermatology

In our practice, we try to treat each patient as an individual. From Dr. Tran’s experience in skin research to his years of training in medical school, residency, and fellowship, we understand that no two patients are alike. We are committed to providing each patient a personalized, caring approach to their skin concerns. Our Adult and Pediatric Dermatology clinic treats diseases of the skin and especially skin cancer such as basal cell cancer, squamous cell cancer, and melanoma. We also treat hair loss, and just about any concerning rash or lesion. We also perform cosmetic removal of benign lesions and botox. Dermatopathology

Dr. Tran is trained as a Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist. He performs skin biopsies of rashes and suspicious lesions, and he can also diagnose these conditions under the microscope. As both a skin pathologist and a dermatologist, he has a unique perspective on cutaneous diseases. Dr. Tran feels that being able to see the lesion on the patient and then looking at the disease process microscopically enhances patient care. Dr. Tran also teaches medical residents and medical students in Dermatology and Dermatopathology.

Phototherapy

Our office currently has installed full body Narrow Band UVB phototherapy along with hand and feet phototherapy devices that aid in the treatment of various skin rashes. Difficult to treat atopic dermatitis (eczema), chronic allergic contact dermatitis, pruritus (itchy skin), and vitiligo are one of the many skin ailments that respond to phototherapy. The phototherapy treatments require medical clearance and usually involve three sessions per week and require a commitment of at least one to two months prior to improvement. Phototherapy can be one of the treatment modalities that succeed when many others have failed.
